Meeting Lab
Business Case: With the growing number of telecommuters all around the world,
it has become more difficult for many businesses to successfully coordinate staff
meetings, conference calls. Our client’s solution to this problem was a new meeting
management tool that would allow its users to set-up meetings between different
employees and to reserve equipment for these meetings, including meeting rooms, projectors etc.
Solution: Sitex developed a Windows application for scheduling meetings which can
connect to a local or a remote database. The application, written in C# and using the
.NET framework, allows the user to add people, resources and meeting times.
The flexibility of the solution developed by Sitex means that Meeting Lab can be used by
not only offices but also shops, schools, sport complexes, libraries, community associations
and driving schools. Anyone can use Meeting Lab for scheduling conference rooms, board
meetings, resources, classrooms, rental cars, train timetables, and even squash courts.
The resources that may be scheduled include meeting rooms, translators, distributed material
or special equipment for meetings such as projectors, whiteboards and laptops, chairs, etc.

- Powerful - Don't let the simple interface fool you. Meeting Lab uses a powerful
scheduling engine, which allows you to create repeatedly events with a custom period.
There is a search engine to allow you to locate your events quickly.
- Convenient – You can use drag and drop to schedule resources, and changing the
event date and time. Adjust the time period by dragging the edges of the event.
- Shareable - Share schedule data over your local network or provide an access
from the Internet. Exchange schedule data with other programs via the import/export feature.
- Flexible - See bookings of a single resource in daily, weekly or monthly views.
You can also view the bookings of all resources in a single day or even an entire week.
- Highly configurable - There are many useful configuration settings to make Meeting
Lab to fit your needs. You can even edit the provided reports or create new ones.
Multiple languages are supported, and each user can select which language he or she
wants to work in.
- Secure - Using the security features you can restrict who can edit events,
who can book the resources and who can access the configuration tools.
- Internet ready - The software can automatically e-mail meeting participants
of a meeting scheduled, and also inform them if an event has been changed.
